Kaliwa lodge is beautifully nestled at the edge of the forests of Kilimanjaro National Park. The lodge and its rooms showcase a distinctive Bauhaus-inspired architectural style, making it truly unique in Tanzania. Accommodation includes both simple, compact rooms and Kilimanjaro bungalows that offer spectacular views of the surrounding rainforest.

Located near the village of Machame — the starting point of one of the most iconic routes to the summit of Africa’s highest mountain — Kaliwa Lodge offers a front-row seat to nature. From the lodge’s elevated platform, guests can take in breathtaking views of the rainforest at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The lodge is easily accessible: just a 30-minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), one hour from Moshi, and about an hour and a half from Arusha.
