About us

We are Bram Markey and Thomas Verougstraete, founders of Wild Tanzania.
After living and working in Tanzania for several years, we founded our safari company in 2014, based in Arusha. Together with our local team — Wilfred, Kelvin, Samwel, Gladness, Zuena, Joyce, and our experienced guides — we organize authentic journeys into the unspoiled wilderness of Tanzania.

What we stand for:

  • Safaris and activities off the beaten path – We take you to lesser-known areas for a truly authentic experience.

  • Our own local team and safari vehicles – Our on-the-ground team ensures personal and expert guidance throughout your trip.

  • High-quality guides – Our guides are passionate experts who love sharing their deep knowledge of Tanzania.

  • Charming, small-scale lodges and guesthouses – Carefully selected accommodations that combine comfort with authenticity.

  • Genuine cultural encounters – Experience Tanzania’s rich culture through spontaneous and respectful interactions with local communities.

  • Personal service before, during, and after your trip – Our team is here to support you every step of the way.

  • Wilderness adventures with comfort – Enjoy thrilling experiences without compromising on quality or ease.

  • Registered tour operator backed by a travel guarantee fund – Offering you peace of mind and reliability for your journey.
