Kilimanjaro - Simba Farm

Simba Farm Lodge is located on the western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, surrounded by a beautiful, lush green landscape. The lodge sits adjacent to a working farm, a river, and the forests of Kilimanjaro National Park, at an altitude of 1,800 meters.

The rooms at Simba Farm Lodge are well adapted to the local conditions: on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, the sun can shine intensely one moment, only to be followed minutes later by a downpour that seems endless—before the sun reclaims the sky once again. The food served here is hearty farmhouse fare, prepared with outstanding, homegrown ingredients.

From this base, climbers begin their Kilimanjaro expeditions via the lesser-traveled western Lemosho route. It's also possible to take a day hike from the lodge to the Shira Plateau, located at 4,000 meters in an alpine tundra setting, where—on clear days—you’ll be treated to spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit.
